Based on a review of relevant hiring data, policies, and practices, each agency identifies and submits at least three proven practices on which it will prioritize for Hiring Excellence actions as well as the names and contact information of the individuals of their Hiring Excellence team.

All agencies must complete and submit the Biennial Allocations Request template indicating their intent to maintain, increase or decrease their established executive resources allocations (i.e., SES, SL, and ST positions), and/or request changes in their executive resources allocations, such as a re-designation of positions (e.g., from General to Career Reserved), or a conversion of existing allocations, (e.g., from SES to SL), for FY 2018 and FY 2019.

Over the years, hundreds of requirements have been placed on agencies which may be outdated or no longer cost-beneficial. As mentioned at our recent Council meeting, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is looking for ways to reduce requirements on agencies to free up agency capacity for higher value activities. OMB is launching a two-phase burden reduction process:

Please join us for a joint federal HR Service Solutions event with the CHCO Council, Human Resources Line of Business (HR LOB), and Unified Shared Services Management (USSM) on Tuesday, July 18th, from 1-3pm.
During the next 3 months, the CHCOC will partner with HR LOB and USSM to host 3 collaborative meetings to define the HR community’s priorities for FY18. The priorities will be finalized at the CHCOC Fall Forum in October.
