John Gill serves as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Human Resources for the Department of Health and Human Services. John brings an extensive background in human resources and administrative management to HHS.
John’s most recent position was with Rolls-Royce plc, which he joined in 2001. He began in North America as Executive Vice President, Human Resources, responsible for regional HR strategy and policy setting and delivery of programs and services to the businesses and sites across the Americas. John was later appointed Executive Vice President for Rolls-Royce’s global Energy Sector and finally, Executive Vice President for developing countries and emerging markets.
Prior to Rolls- Royce, John spent 20 years with Lockheed Martin Corporation. In his last three years he served as Vice President, Resources and Services for the 21,000-person Aeronautics Sector. There, he had responsibility for human resources, facilities and administrative services. Previously, he held senior human resource positions in each of the corporation’s Electronics, Space and Information Sectors.
Most recently, John has served as principal of Precium HR specializing in organization and management consulting for the international non-profit sector. He is an adjunct professor for Georgetown University’s Master’s program in Human Resources. John earned his B.A. at Columbia University and his M.B.A. at Florida Technical University.
